Find Poker Player Profile
Pokerpages is an online force to reckon with, as far as their competitors are concerned. I believe that this site (maybe along with another site) has the most comprehensive collection of players' biographies, or at least a summary of the biographies. It is my belief, "find poker player profile"- go to Pokerpages. If you cannot find the pro you are looking for, then either of the two. One, you have the wrong information, and there is no such name, two- that pro has just been crowned winner yesterday in a major competition. Meaning, the site's authors are still in the process of putting something together.
So, besides the find poker player profile goal, what is there in this site? All kinds of news- in the way of tourneys, developments, articles, poker leagues, videos, pictures, blogs, and whatnot.
In the world of tourneys, Pokerpages has a mulititude of information. If your find poker player profile quest turns up nada, then you might find consolation in the fact that you could at least join a tourney. One you would not have discovered if you did not visit the site. Tourney info includes results, upcoming events, next month's data, WPT, WSOP, PSO, and others.

Poker Rakeback Scams
I am not here to pinpoint a particular online room that runs poker rakeback scams, even if I did know of 2 or 3 in the past. If you must know, all of them are now out of business, thank the Lord.
Anyway, let me go define some concepts first: every gambler who gambles poker regularly would be paying a serious amount of cash, over time, rake it is called. Usually, the rake is big, that it is so difficult to defeat the rake at small-limit games, assuming the person is a fixed limit kind.
So, let me ask this question, are you fully aware of what the rakeback affiliate is offering? Do you know if they are Poker Rakeback Scams or fair deals?
An example: a friend told me sometime back his site is offering a big 27 percent rakeback deal, and this would be from the fifty percent the affiliate was receiving. Truth: it is not 27 percent in terms of rakeback, it is actually 13.5 percent. A rakeback has to be computed from the one hundred percent gross revenues. So, what can I tell you, inquire first if you have doubts. If your online site is honest and reputable, their Customer Department would take pains in fully explaining, removing any thoughts that Poker Rakeback Scams exist within their games.Posted: May 19th, 2008 under Rooms.

News on Odds Online Poker
It was one article that had me quite put out, for the title was really long, but cutting out -I mean shortening that very long title, I would boil it down to 'News on Odds Online Poker', and while it is not exactly news, the data on the article were actually accurate. Oh, lest I forget, this is on five card draw poker.
This "News on Odds Online Poker" started out with the rudiments, let me share them. Each hand of the game holds a particularly probability, and it is the odds for next set to be drawn. By using odds, the gambler would get a stronger idea on card hierarchy, odds of making that set, whether to do a bluff or not, and other pertinent information. Like, if one knows and accepts that the percentages of hitting the flush or better would be 1:273, it might persuade him to fight with that holding, and wager more.
Now, we go to the meat of this News on Odds Online Poker, the odds for the varying hands. I'll give the kind of hand received, and the percentages of getting that kind. 1 pair or higher- 1:2/ J pair of higher- 1:9/ 2 pair or higher- 1:13/ three of a kind of higher- 1:35/ straight or higher- 1:275/ full house or higher- 1:600/ four of a kind or higher- 1:4,000/ straight flush would be 1:65,000.Posted: May 13th, 2008 under Rooms.
