Party poker play chips
Party Poker uses play chips as bets in place of real money. Players earn and spend chips on the game just like they would with actual bets. However, it is possible to buy Party Poker play chips online, with real cash. You can get them from Party Poker or from third-party sellers.
Although Party Poker doesn't encourage external purchases, you can buy party poker play chips cheaper from other sites. Some of them will sell you up to 25 million chips for as low as $50 - an attractive rate compared to the official site's current prices. It's not uncommon for players to spend over $1,000 on play chips.
Party Poker limits the selling of chips to encourage players to improve their game. By buying only a limited number of chips her hour, players are forced to treat their current chips with more value, and thus use them better. Experienced players can gather chips in the millions without re-buying.Posted: July 13th, 2008 under Poker Stuff.

Poker Room Com
I have a friend, name of Jack, and he does not use the words "online rooms" or "Net gambling rooms", his phrase for it is "poker room com", always that.
Well, let me borrow his phrase for this piece, let me just go on about some of the basic attributes of a good POKER ROOM COM.
A wide variety of players: the room should have its share of calling stations, maniacs and the sharks. Doing battle against all of them would help you ascertain your playing strength at present.
Graphics: if you really want to have a great experience in your poker room com, look for sites with modern graphics. It is (more often than not) the older sites that do not have high-quality kind of graphics, emphasis on 'more often than not'. Ergo, try checking out the new generation of rooms.
It is a safe course of action to search for rooms filled with newbies and the maniacs, and the tip is this: newbies often play with short stacks, and as for the maniacs- check if the average pot size is larger than the house's norm.
On money: assuming you have very limited funds, don't be sad and don't give up, a lot of online sites proffer signup incentives for the new entrants. They are there, use them, avail of them, it would mean extra money down the road- assuming you get to finish the playthrough requirements.Posted: May 22nd, 2008 under Poker Stuff.

Igra Poker
Let me tell you a little story, this happened somewhere in Indonesia, in one of their most obscure places there. I will not tell you the actual name (it's not a city), but the locals there call it "Igra". Well, I stayed in there for about a month (work, not a vacation for me) and the only recreation was going to their (semi-illegal) casino which of course, I would rather not name.
Well, Igra Poker (since that's the only casino there, "Igra Poker" is a fair term)- was both weird and amusing. More than a few times, I witnessed the most outrageous of events, let me give one.
In a NL game, there were these players: Mr Cool, Mr Keys (he had a dozen keys with him), and Mr Fish. Mr Keys went all in with 500$ (yes, they used dollars), Mr Fish folded, Mr Cool called with pair of 10s. Dealer (who must have been one stupid idiot) did not see this and put the deck on muck, when the game was paused, the decision was to reshuffle everything save for those held by Cool and Mr Keys.
Flop gave Keys a 3 of a kind, but the turn arrived with a 10, giving Mr Cool a 4-of-a-kind 10s. Now, what is weird with Igra Poker, you may be asking now?
When showdown came, you know what happened: the 2 players had exactly the same 4 of a kind holding! (The Fish guy turned out he had pocket 10s in the beginning of this Igra Poker misadventure).
Truth: the dealer made a mistake, she has placed dropped cards at the deck, and dished them out for another time at the flop and then the turn phase.
You know what was so amusing: if this happened in a Vegas place, that dealer would be facing termination at the end of the hour, but not there, not in Igra. Everybody laughed, and the players (all of them) gave large tips to this BRAINLESS dealer! Wow, good thing Igra is a unverse away from Vegas.Posted: May 4th, 2008 under Poker Stuff.
