Is it legal to play poker online in Nebraska?
Gaming always has hard core detractors in every state in the United States, Nebraska is no exception. Gaming, whether online or land based is always been popular. Back in the 1850s to 1930s, gambling in Nebraska was accepted either openly or in closed quarters. But due to the laws that are imposed, gambling in Nebraska is limited to only keno, slot machines and licensed wagering on horse races. Land based casinos and gambling by telephone or over the internet is a violation of state and federal law in Nebraska. Most gamers drive across the Missouri River to Council Bluffs, Iowa, where casinos are legal and they are free to gamble.
Back in 2004, state senator, Ernie Chambers and U.S Representative Tom Osborne tried to push for legalized gambling in Nebraska, allowing casinos and slot machines to be built. But so far it had meet many opposition and casinos still remain illegal.

Sit & Go Poker Freeroll
Poker newbies do not have to fret about wasting money trying to understand poker through actual playing. If you are a newbie, you can always take advantage of sit and go poker free rolls.
To start with, a sit and go is an unscheduled tournament where you can just join in with the few other players involved. Sit and gos are, most of the times, single table tournaments so you can observe all of your opponents face to face. Meanwhile, a free roll tournament is such a tournament that does not require you to buy chips with real money. Still, you will be getting a real cash prize when you do win. Sit and go poker free rolls surely beats playing other tournament games.
Take note that free rolls may mean different things. In some tournaments, the game is absolutely free. Such a chance is simply something that you must grab. There are tournaments, however, that reward free rolls as part of a loyalty bonus for having played several games that do involve money.Posted: October 23rd, 2008 under News, Poker Stuff.

Bellagio Poker Room
It could be said that the Bellagio Poker Room is "primus inter pares" among the poker rooms of Vegas, the "In Place" where the most notable pros congregate. The kind of floorpersons and dealers, the cocktail offered are far above the average. Bellagio Poker Room's non-smoking place accommodates thirty tables, and is accessible at any hour, any day. The smallest limits are (hold the BREATH) 4/8$ Limit and for the NL, 2/5$. If you are a high roller, then ask for their segregated room, this is where the big-shot games happen.
Combination of sharks and newbies and intermediate results to a very interesting gambling adventure. Here is the downside, due to its popularity- more often than not, the waiting is going to be a long one. Take note, when you are not at the podium by the time they call your name, sorry. They would move on, and you'll be back to square one in terms of waiting.Posted: September 28th, 2008 under Articles, News, Poker Stuff, Reviews.

party poker secrets
Poker players are always looking for new ways to make big money from the game Party Poker, some in less than honest ways. Several sites have revealed supposed Party Poker secrets, but none have been reported to work sustainably - and those that do are easily caught and penalized.
The truth is that there really are no Party Poker secrets or cheats that can make you earn thousands of dollars in minutes. You can, however, gain a legitimate advantage over your opponents by making detailed notes on their moves. If you've been playing regularly, you'll be able to note the betting patterns of your frequent opponents.
You can also use tracking software to monitor your gaming patterns. This helps you spot leaks in your game and keep track of your wins and losses. It's not illegal since you're only monitoring yourself; in fact, most expert poker players use some kind of tracker when playing online.Posted: July 8th, 2008 under News.

Stratosphere Poker Room Moving
I don't know about you, but the Stratosphere poker room moving to another site is a good idea, not the best idea, but just a good idea. It is now adjacent to the dining establishments at the front, and while this new venue is not the best I could think of, it is an improvement. It used to be in that section buried behind the areas of the sportsbook, check it out for yourself.
The Stratosphere Poker Room Moving may have happened, but what has not changed is the very good rake structure of this gambling site. It now goes five percent to four dollars, and this is more preferable to the ten percent to 3 dollars which some other rooms proffer.
The Stratosphere Poker Room Moving did not mean everything inside is at present, brand-new. Tables are actually quite worn-out, and auto-shufflers are absent. Their chairs are quite comfortable, but what about the dealers?
The Stratosphere Poker Room Moving is the good news, but the bad news is that at least a couple of their dealers lack the skills you would expect from a pro. That is skills-wise, in terms of behavior, as far as I am concerned, they are all OK.
Their cocktail service is good, it is more than good, it is really speedy. Floor employees are helpful and sociable enough, and not stingy when it comes to comp hours computations.Posted: May 25th, 2008 under News.

Igraj Igro Poker
I know somebody, he is a language expert, and he had this term, it's "igraj igro", and according to him, it means "realistic but very weird". (He is fluent in half a dozen languages, and teaches pure Latin in a university outside the US).
For whatever reason, he refused to say what language it was, and I even asked people about it, nobody could say. I tried to research on it via the Net, to no avail.
Anyway, over dinner with friends, he once told this story that he entitled "Igraj Igro Poker", and you know what it means. Let me share it with you: a Hungarian man literally became bankrupt in a highrolling game, and guess what he put up as the stakes? His dog, which happened to be one of the most expensive kind in the world. Well, this Hungarian loser kind of just "pawned" it, and the other player said that when the former is able to come up with the cash, he would return his dog. (Yes, the Hungarian lost the game, lost the dog, and lost the respect of many peers, I mean, it was real weird).
When the winner went to the loser's house to get the dog, the dog raised hell, but of course, the winner got him anyway. (Plus the dog was not the biting type).
Here's the thing about this Igraj Igro Poker story: just a couple of weeks later, the Hungarian managed to get the cash, and went to the winner to reclaim his pet. Lo and behold, the winner was no longer there, and the house was occupied by a stranger, an old lady.
When he narrated what it was all about, the old lady then showed him a lethal-looking snake (allegedly non-poisonous) and told the man that she would just sell the snake to him for a song and a prayer.
The man probably thought that the snake would be a fittng replacement, and bought it. Later on, he started bringing the snake to the same casino where everything started. LO AND BEHOLD, the casino management even allowed it. WOW, a true Igraj Igro Poker tale, par excellence.Posted: May 7th, 2008 under News.
