If you don't know how to play poker but would like to learn, it would probably be good for you to start playing texas hold em. Texas hold'em is one of the most popular poker games in poker card rooms and casinos in Europe and North America. In fact, during the recent World Series of Poker tournaments, half of the events were variants of Texas hold'em. The popularity of this variant surged during the 2000s because of exposure on the Internet, on television, and even in popular literature.
Unlike stud or draw poker where every player has a separate individual hand, Texas hold'em allows players to use their two hole cards as well as any combination of the five community cards in order to create their poker hand. If you're new to playing Texas hold'em poker, you might want to try the tight-aggressive approach, which means playing few hands but raising and betting often with the hands that you do play. Experts deem this strategy as effective, although you can use other strategies as well.Social Bookmarking
